Run a report
You can run a reportA set of data deliberately laid out to communicate business information. Depending on the context, 'report' may refer to report specification or report output. Report (more precisely, report specification) is the generic term for the objects created or edited in Cognos Analytics.
Pronto Xi Business Intelligence offers a suite of standard reports. from the pxiPronto Xi menu shortcuts (if installed) or navigate to it in the Reporting Portal
Standard reports are located

Locate and click the report you want to run.
The promptA report element that asks for prompt values on which to filter or sort a report. page for the report is displayed.

Specify the prompt values you want the report to include.

If multiple prompt screens are available for the report and you need to refine the report further, click Next at the bottom of the screen.

If there is a Keyword Search screen available for the report and you want to edit the search prompt values, click Search at the bottom of the screen.

The Keyword Search page is displayed and is editable.

At any time you can click:

Cancel
Cancel the report.

Search
(if available for the report) to go to the Keyword Search screen.

Back
Return to the previous prompt page.

Finish
Run and display the report.

Click Finish.
The following prompt might be displayed to indicate that the report is being run. Instead of waiting, you can select an alternative delivery method.
The report is displayed.

While in the report you can filterSelectively remove data from view. and sortArrange elements of a list in a certain order. The most-used orders are numerical order and lexicographical order. the displayed report by making selections from the available drop down options at the top of the report.
Additionally you can right-click any of the drill-down links and select Open link in new tab to viewA set of data connected to a cube, deliberately laid out to communicate business information. the data in pxiPronto Xi.
If you want to rerun the report using different prompt values, click Run
and select Reset prompts and run.
If you are running a report from within the pxiPronto Xi client, some output types, including PDF, will not export. You should open and run the report in a browser.
