Operational reports
This series of standard reports were introduced in versions 720.0 and 710.4 for all Business Intelligence customers.
These reports provide a more flexible design, and offer many usability improvements, including variable sortArrange elements of a list in a certain order. The most-used orders are numerical order and lexicographical order. and filterSelectively remove data from view. options, simpler date promptA report element that asks for prompt values on which to filter or sort a report. choices, and defaults to current periods, and for transactional reports, the choice of which columns to show or hide.
Many of these reports are suitable for wide general use, allowing users to filter and sort reportA set of data deliberately laid out to communicate business information. Depending on the context, 'report' may refer to report specification or report output. Report (more precisely, report specification) is the generic term for the objects created or edited in Cognos Analytics. Pronto Xi Business Intelligence offers a suite of standard reports. data with ease from within the reports. Performance is improved in several reports, with faster prompt screens loads, and reports completing much faster than in previous versions. Furthermore, the design approach taken with these new reports facilitates easier customisation by report authors.
Prompt screens include many filter and sort options to allow you drive the outputs for specific business reporting requirements and user rolesA user role reflects a particular job or Task in Pronto Xi Business Intelligence, for example, a Report Administrator, and gives access to set of functions used to do that job, for example report reading, writing, setting up permission for read/write and so on..
We recommend that you consider implementing Report Views to preset the prompts and delivery methods for consistent and repeated use. In addition, the planning of timed reporting schedules and output retention rules will streamline the reporting workflows.
