Security patch for Master Reports access

For customers on all versions of Business IntelligenceBusiness Intelligence, often referred to as BI, refers to the skills, processes, technologies, applications and practices used to support decision making. This is also the name of the Pronto Xi BI module. versions 740.0 through to 740.4, note that there is a security patch available for download that must be installed in order to ensure that the reports within the Master Reports folder are correctly secured by the standard pxiPronto Xi roles. Currently these reports may be accessed by all users regardless of their assigned module permissions.

Content in the Operational reports folder is not affected by this issue.

Installation instructions for Microsoft Windows:

1. Download the Reinstate_Master_Reports_Permissions_740.zip file.

   This is accessible on the Cognos Updates page on KBase

2. Extract the zip file.

3. Copy all files to the C:\Program Files\ibm\cognos\C10_64\bin64\Pronto folder.

4. As an Administrator, run run_Reinstate_MS_permissions_WIN.bat.

Installation instructions for Linux:

1. Download the Reinstate_Master_Reports_Permissions_740.zip file.

   This is accessible on the Cognos Updates page on KBase

2. Extract the zip file.

3. Copy all files to the /pro/cognos/C10_64/bin64/Pronto folder.

4. Grant execute permission.

5. Run run_Reinstate_MS_permissions_WIN.sh.
