Customising the Cognos Analytics user interface

You can customise the appearance and userA person accessing a Pronto Xi Business Intelligence application. interface of the screens (views) in Cognos Analytics. You can add and remove interface elements (buttons and menus), replace default home and sign-in pages, and also substitute branding elements such as colours, logos, and brand text, for all views, including both desktop and mobile applications.

All customisations are packaged as compressed files that contain a spec.json file. The JSON file can contain other files such as images, depending on the customisation type. Customisations can be included in deployments.

To perform customisations, you will need the following:

If you customise Cognos Analytics, be aware that the JSON schemas might change in a way that is not compatible with earlier versions.
